There is a consensus among the masses that learning to fly cast is difficult. Casting does require building a strong foundation of basic principles but it is not difficult! Both of my kids learned fly casting around 2 years old.
One of the most elementary tasks learning to fly cast well is the ability to have pauses followed by an input of force. Musicians tend to fly casts in short order because there is tempo, timing, and rhythm for all casts!
I have taught fly casting since 1987 and this journey has assisted my own casting as well as teaching others.
